Summer Day Camp: Sponsor a school-age child

  • $80 (1 week of full-time day camp)
  • $320 (4-week session of full-time day camp)

Provides full-day summer camp with nutritional meals, remedial reading, math, science and computer lab instruction, plus field trips, positive mentoring, and lots of engaging and fun enrichment activities such as sewing, cooking, games, sports, music, and arts.

School-age Program: Sponsor a child for after-school program

  • $30 (1 week of 32-week school year)
  • $540 (1 semester or 18 weeks of school year)
  • $1,080 (full school year)

Provides children a safe, supportive learning community two-days-a-week including:

  • targeted, individualized remedial tutoring,
  • homework help, computer lab, and reading-rich environment,
  • engaging enrichment activities, and
  • positive mentoring from caring adults.

Bright Beginnings: Sponsor a mother and her small children

  • $50 (1 week of an 8-week series)
  • $400 (entire 8-week series)

Provides a series of three levels of classes equipping mothers to be their child’s first teacher; enhancing their children’s language development, pre-literacy skills, and early learning experiences. Classes teach mothers how to provide early childhood development and school readiness skills for their children.

Adult ESOL Classes: Sponsor an adult student

  • $40 (books and curriculum)
  • $180 (teacher training and support for one year)

"English for Speakers of Other Languages" provides one-on-one and small-group literacy classes as well as a literacy computer lab for adults mornings, evenings and Saturdays.

Feed a family through our Food Pantry or SHARE program

  • $25 (1 bag of groceries to feed a family of four for two days)
  • $20 (1 order of frozen meat and fresh vegetables)

Decreased work hours, car repair, illness, and other emergencies can place a working-poor family in crisis. Every Friday families in need can receive emergency food provisions; thereby enabling them to provide their children a healthy diet.

Your financial support produces dividends in changed lives! Gifts to the general operating budget enable us to keep the doors open and our site operating seven-days-a-week!
